Over the last 60-some years Barbie’s had about 200 careers and she’s now a Robotics Engineer!
Mattel launched the new doll Tuesday and says it aims to encourage girls as young as seven to learn real coding skills, thanks to a partnership with the kids game-based computing platform Tynker.
As a robotics engineer, Barbie is dressed in jeans, a graphic T-shirt, denim jacket and is also practicing being safe with safety glasses.
She comes with six free Barbie-inspired coding lessons designed to teach logic, problem-solving and the building blocks of coding.
What will Barbie be next? Maybe, a radio announcer!
