If there’s one man that knows what it takes to become a successful musician, it’s Dave Grohl. The guy has been a member of the biggest band in the world…TWICE! Not to mention, that he played different instruments in each. He’s also made two successful music documentaries (Foo Fighters doc Back and Forth and recording studio piece Sound City) and a cross-country music series (Sonic Highways). So yeah, he knows a thing or two about what it takes to make it in the music industry. That’s why his advice for young musicians should be taken very seriously. What advice does the legendary Nirvana drummer and Foos frontman have?
“Just play live” Grohl said. “Honestly, if you’re good at what you do, people will recognize it. And it doesn’t matter if you’re playing the s**thole down the street, or you’re on the side stage at Bonnaroo or you’re headlining Lollapalooza. If you’re a great band with great songs, people will notice it”.
