If you have ever wanted to live in a galaxy far, far away this might be as close as you will get.
We know Disney is hard at work on the Star Wars world at their theme parks in California and Florida.
There is more Star Wars experiences on the way, Disney announced that they are working on a fully immersive Star Wars resort for visitors to walk around, eat, drink and sleep in. It’s a hotel unlike any before it.
You will be required to wear Star Wars-inspired clothing.
If you look out the windows you will only see the vast darkness of space.
Bob Chapek, chairman of the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts said, “From the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story. You’ll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire. Once you leave Earth, you will discover a starship alive with characters, stories, and adventures that unfold all around you. It is 100 percent immersive, and the story will touch every single minute of your day, and it will culminate in a unique journey for every person who visits.”
No opening date was set for the Star Wars-themed resort. However the theme park Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open sometime in 2019.
Here are a couple of artist renderings of what the resort could look like:
