-The Big Lift re-decking project end date has been pushed, according to Halifax Harbour Bridges.
The project was originally supposed to be completed by this fall, but now has been pushed back until next year. This comes after numerous delays. It is now expected to be completed in spring of 2018.
Overnight closures are scheduled to end Nov. 24, there will be approximately 20 to 30 periodic closures between then the projects completion date.
-Two cases of mumps have been confirmed at Dalhousie University, and officials with the school say there could be more.
The school sent a memo to the university community on yesterday outlining the symptoms of mumps and asking people to have up-to-date vaccinations and to consult a doctor if they notice symptoms.
Symptoms of mumps include fever, headache, muscle aches, swollen glands on the sides of the face and pain when swallowing.
