-Two men have died, and a driver is facing charges after a car slammed into a parked cube van in Lower Sackville last night.
A Honda Civic with four men inside slammed into a parked Mercedes-Benz cube van. A 42-year-old man from Lower Sackville and a 48-year-old man from PEI inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 26-year-old driver of the car was not injured, and has been taken into custody and is facing charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
RCMP said speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash, but they haven’t been able to confirm that yet.
-Police have charged a man in a Dartmouth road rage incident where he allegedly jumped onto the hood of a woman’s car.
RCMP were called to the scene of a collision at Exit 14 on Highway 107 where a 53-year-old man’s vehicle had struck a barricade. The man reportedly got out of his vehicle, then jumped on the hood of another car while threatening the driver and attempting to break the windows.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 45-year-old woman, was not hurt.
The man is facing charges of mischief and uttering threats.
