A couple of years ago, the hospital was running low and asked for more — and now it has so many, that it’s running out of places to store them.
Back in September 2016, the hospital was facing a finger-puppet shortage.
The IWK put a call out on Facebook for volunteers to replenish its stock and it’s been shared more than 12,000 times.
A year after asking for help, the IWK had to update its post to staunch the huge influx of donations.
“Thanks to the amazing generosity of the knitters in our community, we currently have quite a good supply on hand; therefore, we will not be needing any more finger puppets in the near future,” the post reads.
