Kid Rock Announces He Is Not Running For U.S. Senate

Celebrities in politics is nothing new. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura, Ronald Regan, and so forth. Kid Rock was looking to add his name to the list when it was being reported that he had planned on running for U.S. Senate, but now that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Kid Rock was a guest on Howard Stern’s show today and said that he has no intention of running for Senate. “Fuck no, I’m not running for Senate. Are you kidding me?” he told Stern, as noted by the Detroit Free Press. “Who couldn’t figure that out? I’m releasing a new album. I’m going on tour, too. Are you fucking shitting me?”
So in the end it was a platform to promote his new music. Not a bad ploy, or maybe he did just get cold feet. I’ll go with the former on this one.
