Korn Will Enlist 12 Year Old Tye Trujillo To Play Bass On Upcoming Tour

I don’t know what you were doing when you were 12 years old, but I know I wasn’t playing bass for a high profile band such as Korn.

That’s how Tye Trujillo, son of Metallica’s Robert Trujillo will be spending the rest of April as he fills in on bass duties for their South American tour.

Korn’s regular bassist Fieldy can’t make it due to, quote, “unforeseen circumstances,”.

The band said, quote, “We’re bummed Fieldy can’t join us on this run, but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye.  We look forward to welcoming Fieldy back when we return to the States in May.”

Tye, having grown up in the business, is no stranger to performing in front of big crowds, as he is in the band The Helmets. Here’s a video of a proud papa jamming with his son and the band.
