WHAT A WEEK! Jackasses, axes, beers & beaches!
This week the #livinitupsummertour was ACTON PACKED!
We started out Monday with The Jackass boys live in the flesh for their Canadian comedy tour. Seeing these guys in person was an adolesent dream come true, they had me laughing and cringing at the same time HA! The show is just what you’d expect it to be: laughs, nut shots and lots of stunts! Glad we got to be a part of the scene AND there was a surprise guest apperance by Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys!
Tuesday I took in the sights, with a bike tour of the city from I Heart Bikes down on the water front. Being a novice cyclist I was a bit nervous but my tour guide Izzy made me feel right at home. It was even paced, informative and above all FUN! This is a perfect way to explore the city – I highly reccomend it.
On Thursday I hit up the Alexander Keith’s Brewery for there open house where they were celebrating the launch of their new Cornerstone Edinberg Pale Ale and their Lunenberg Coffee and Cacao Stout. The place was absolutely packed! Jon Crouse, who found a 120 year old bottle of Alexander Keith’s beer at the bottom of the Halifax harbour, made an appearance with the famous bottle.
Thursday we had a Live 105 night at Timber Lounge Halfaxe for all those won Round A Day In May! If youve never been to the Timber Lounge I sincerely suggest you go, it was a blast! Huckin’ axes across the room is not only a stress reliever, its exciting and easier than youd think. Live 105’s own Tom Unwin took the night by storm and in true lumberjack fassion scored the most points and kept nailing bullseye’s like it was his day job!
FRIDAY! SUNS OUT GUNS OUT AM I RIGHT?!
It was an absolute beauty of a day so we took the cruiser down to Rainbow Haven beach. Sunshine, sandy beaches and great tunes, the only problem was I couldn’t find anyone to put sunscreen on my back.. #foreveralone #foreverburnt
Saturday we went to the Ratomir Soccer Tournament. Over 100 teams and 2000 kids from U10-U16. What a great time and we couldnt have asked for better weather! Supporting local sports is something that Live 105 is all about!
Immediately after, wanting to soak up all the sun we could, we took the cruiser down to the waterfront. There were tons of people on the boardwalk enjoying the beautiful weather, and they were super pumped to see the new Live 105 summer cruiser. Then we capped the night off with a fundraiser for the Nova Scotia provincial bantam lacrosse team, they are trying to raise money so the team can go to provincials in Saskatchewan! Amazing event, good eats and a great cause!
Stay tuned for next weeks adventures!
