All we can say is WOW, what a week!
We started our week off on Wednesday at Halifax Jazz Festival where Metric was performing. The place was absolutely packed! So many Live fans were excited to see us there with awesome prizes and swag, and we were excited to see you too! Halifax’s very own Adam Baldwin kicked off the show with a few of his amazing new songs. Soon after, Metric took the stage and we were blown away. They are AMAZING live. We’re glad we didn’t miss out on seeing them!
The next night we headed back down to Jazz Festival on the waterfront for another incredible show by City and Colour, as well as the opener Basia Bulat. Live 105 host, Brian Byrne, kicked off the show by saying a few words and presenting the artists. A lot of Live fans in the audience were excited to see Brian! Then Basia got us super pumped up! What an amazing performer! She is well known for playing the autoharp, so when she pulled it out we were not disappointed. When City and Colour took the stage, the crowd went NUTS. Needless to say, those guys are great at what they do. It was an amazing night that we’ll never forget!
On Saturday morning we set up at the Emera Oval for the Motionball Marathon of Sport in support of Special Olympics Nova Scotia. It was such a fun and awesome event. There were over 30 teams competing and raising money! They had blow up obstacle courses, flag football, and of course the motionballs! It was so funny watching people climb inside of those giant inflatable balls and get kicked around the field. Everyone was having so much fun, we didn’t want to leave! Later that afternoon we headed off to Pine Acres RV in Stewiacke to hang out with their awesome staff and help buyers pick out the right RV for them! We had the best time looking inside the vintage style trailers. They come in so many colours! Our personal favourite is the blue one ☺.
Make sure to check out our Facebook page to keep up with all the cool stuff we get up to this summer! If you’ve got an event you’d like us to attend, keep us in the loop!
Have a great week, everyone!
