It looks like most Haligonians are on board banning plastic bags in the city.
According to new data from Corporate Research Associates Inc. (CRA), 71% of Halifax residents support banning plastic bags, 28% are against it.
Nova Scotia’s environment minister Iain Rankin has been “seriously considering” a province-wide ban on plastic shopping bags. If the ban was put in place, Nova Scotia would become first province to do so.
