Remember that nightmare of a music festival last year called Fyre Festival?
It was promoted as a destination festival in the Bahamas featuring major acts, supermodels and total luxury. But it turned out to be a nightmare, bands dropped out, flights were limited or canceled, lodging was a joke, food turned out to be awful and there wasn’t nearly enough to go around, and restroom facilities were…problematic. The end result was a disaster and there were tons of lawsuits filed for failing to deliver on promises.
Details are coming out now in court about what organizers spent money on. It has been reported that festival promoter Billy McFarland spent $160,000 for a yacht for Blink 182. Documents also show McFarland spent $18,208 on towels, another $260,000 on carpet for the “tent city,” which cost $470,000.
