A great white shark is in the water near Halifax, and it’s the second one detected in Nova Scotia in a month.
A 600-kilogram tagged shark named Hilton signalled it was in Mahone Bay on Sunday. It’s a shark tagged by the research group Ocearch in Hilton Head, S.C.
“Hilton has been travelling north along the coast of southern Nova Scotia for the past week and a half,” according to a post on their Facebook yesterday.
A 300-kilogram great white shark named Pumpkin was detected in the Minas Basin in late July.
